CHETTLE LODGE (8 bedrooms)


  • £805/night mid week (Sun night to Thu night) 

  • £1200/night weekends (Fri night, Sat night)  

PEAK (School hols & B/H weekends):

  • £905/night for mid week (Sun night to Thu night)

  • £1400/night weekends (Fri night, Sat night)

STABLE LOFT (2 bedrooms)


  • £100/night mid week (Sun night to Thu night)

  • £150/night weekends (Fri night, Sat night)


  • £120/night mid week (Sun night to Thu night)

  • £180/night weekends (Fri night, Sat night)

When booked alongside the Lodge, Stable Loft is available at a reduced rate:


  • £80/night mid week (Sun night to Thu night)

  • £120/night weekends (Fri night, Sat night)


  • £100/night mid week (Sun night to Thu night)

  • £140/night weekends (Fri night, Sat night)

Over the Christmas period (23rd December - 27th December) there is a minimum 4 night stay.

Chettle Lodge sleeps 18. We can add 4 additional z-beds for £30 per bed per stay.

Stable Loft sleeps 4.

Prices are reviewed on a 6 monthly basis, if you are enquiring more than 6 months ahead of time, there may be a small increase in the prices displayed above to keep pace with inflation/rising costs.

Day Hire Rates

Prices depend on the room(s) you'd like to hire and what your requirements are, as well as the time of year. As a community business we will always seek to provide the best possible hire rate whilst ensuring we can continue to economically support the Chettle estate and the people who live and work here.

Prices typically start from around £250 + VAT for 4 hours hire.

House Rules & Cancellation Policy

  • Check In: 4pm  

  • Check Out: 11am

    • Please leave the house tidy and have done all the washing up. We will strip the beds, hoover and clean but need everything to be roughly how you found it. 

    • ​Early check-in/late check-out can potentially be accommodated for an additional £75/hour depending on our other bookings so do please ask. The additional fee covers utilities & staffing costs associated with a tighter turnaround time.

  • Deposit - to secure your booking please pay a deposit of 50% via bank transfer - we will provide you with the details. The remaining balance is due 1 month before but we'll give you a nudge.

  • Generally there is a 2 night minimum stay. This may increase during peak and Christmas periods.

  • Some wood will be provided for the fires (Chettle Lodge only) but you can purchase more from the village shop if required.

  • Dog friendly Dorset - we loves dogs here at Chettle Lodge but appreciate not everyone shares that love, so please keep four paws firmly on the ground during your stay; Fido will survive not sleeping with you on the bed for a few nights.

  • Please keep outdoor noise to a minimum after 10pm on weekdays and midnight on weekends.

  • We are on a septic tank so please don't flush anything down the loos other than loo roll. Bins are provided in all bathrooms.

  • Please don't stick anything to the walls! (It rips the paint off and then I have to work out which of the 999 shades of grey paint that particular wall is...)

  • Please clean up after your 4-legged friends - poo bags can be found at reception if you need them.

  • You are welcome to smoke outside but please use the ashtrays and empty them before you leave.

Chettle Lodge

  • Overnight booking rates are based on a maximum of 18 people staying. This is 14 in double occupancy rooms (can be all king size or some of the kings split into singles), 3 in room 5 (double + single), and includes 1 x z-bed.

  • Up to 4 extra z-beds can be hired at a charge of £30 per bed if you want to sleep more than 18. They will fit into rooms 1, 2, 3, 5 and 8. 

  • The main gardens & hot tub are available for your sole use. The pear walk garden is shared and may be used by guests staying at Stable Loft.

  • Bins: Please be advised that we reserve the right to impose an additional charge of £100+vat if waste is not sorted into appropriate bins. This charge is due to the fact that we'll have to arrange another collection, as well as hire more staff to sort through all your rubbish (and it's a pretty gross job)

Stable Loft


  • Overnight booking rates are based on a maximum of 4 people staying. Room 1 can be a king bed or twins. Room 2 is a king bed. There is a shared bathroom with a bath and shower.

  • Depending on the bookings in Chettle Lodge, we may be able to offer a z-bed/camp bed for use in the lounge for £30/stay. 

  • The shared pear walk garden is available for Stable Loft guests. The main gardens & hot tub are available for Chettle Lodge guests only. If no guests are staying at Chettle Lodge, Stable Loft guests are welcome to hire the hot tub and use the main gardens.

  • Please remove all muddy shoes and wipe muddy paws downstairs in the boot room before going upstairs. We reserve the right to request a £100 cleaning fee if mud is excessive upstairs and Stable Loft requires additional cleaning.



  • 100% full refund for cancellations up to 60 days before check-in. 

  • If booked fewer than 60 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking. 

  • 50% refund from 60-30 days before check-in. 

  • 25% refund for any cancellations 30-14 days before check-in.

  • 0% refund if cancelled 14 days before check-in.  

    • IF we are able to rebook the dates you have cancelled we will be honest and provide you with a total of 75% of your money back. 25% will be held back to cover pre-booking costs such as admin and staffing.

    • The reason our cancellation policy is this way is because (as you can probably appreciate given that you’re the one booking this!) mobilising a large group of people to confirm a booking at short notice is incredibly difficult and we’ve found from experience that people don’t book any later than 3 months out.
